A very choral Christmas

International Concert Series 2020/21

Bring the mulled wine, warm the mince pies and join the Choirs of Royal Holloway for a digital Christmas extravaganza of livestreamed choral Christmas highlights, popular performances from years gone by to a specially constructed virtual performance of Vaughan Williams' Fantasia on Christmas Carols to get you in the festive mood.

No booking requried. The event will premiere on this page at the stated start time.

The Royal Holloway Chorus is open to all members of Royal Holloway and is not auditioned. It aspires to high standards while featuring engaging and enjoyable repertoire. It is a relaxed and friendly group who welcome all newcomers. In previous years the Chorus has sung the Paukenmesse by Haydn, John Rutter’s Gloria, Vaughan Williams’ Dona nobis pacem, contemporary music by Tarik O’Regan and Rihards Dubra as well as Requiems by Brahms and Fauré.

The Choir of Royal Holloway is unique in the UK as the only collegiate choir with a weekly programme of services and concerts and is considered to be one of the finest mixed-voice collegiate choirs in Britain. The Choir gives 50-plus concerts a year with a particular specialism in collaborating with living composers.
