CRIS welcomes business ethics founder as visiting professor
The Centre for Research into Sustainability is delighted to welcome Professor Patricia Werhane (pictured right) as a Visiting Professor of Business Ethics.
Professor Werhane is a founder of the contemporary business ethics field. She holds a joint appointment at Darden and DePaul University in the US, where she is Wicklander Chair in Business Ethics and director of the Institute for Business and Professional Ethics. A prolific author whose works include Moral Imagination and Management Decision-Making and Organization Ethics for Health Care, Werhane is an acclaimed authority on employee rights in the workplace, one of the leading scholars on Adam Smith and founder and former editor-in-chief of Business Ethics Quarterly.
Professor Werhane has been working with CRIS colleagues on developing research around social entrepreneurship. She is currently engaged with a film series called Big Questions on this topic, see her being interviewed about the project here: Professor Patricia Werhane on Big Questions
