Exploring Sustainability Practices and Reporting: A Case Study of an Irish Private Company
The project involves an in-depth examination of a family-owned company’s engagement with sustainability. This project studies a large Irish company, Musgrave Ltd, which has been engaged in sustainability practices and reporting since the late 1990s. It considers the impact of family ownership on the attitudes of senior managers to sustainability issues and reporting, and the interrelationship between ownership, organizational culture and the sustainability process.
Exploration and theorization of the motivation for and evolution of a sustainability reporting process in a family firm that is a leader in sustainability reporting in Ireland.
Longitudinal case study drawing on extensive documentary analysis and in-depth interviews with managers and family members in the company studied.
